CabinetSense

Michael is a master at design and execution. The quality of his work is second to none and he is able to create pieces that most shops simply could not do. He is also a gifted teacher. I have worked with CNC for nearly 30 years, yet I was mesmerized as he demonstrated how he uses SketchUp and CabinetSense along with V Carve Pro or Aspire to design custom cabinets and then fabricate the parts on his CNC.

Michael, this is a finished pic of the built in bookshelf and cabinets. Cabinet sense made it so easy and nearly everything was done on the cnc except cutting the panels for the shelves due to my 48" limitation. Thanks for your help and on to my bathroom vanity.

I'm a retired high school teacher and life-long amateur woodworker who for some crazy reason agreed to make kitchen and bathroom cabinets for a friend's new 6000 square foot house. I would have been lost had it not been for CabinetSense and Michael Samarza. Having never used Sketchup or CabinetSense before, and having only made one set of cabinets before, I quickly realized I was out of my element and asked the software creator if he could recommend a person to salvage the mess I was making. Michael turned out to be the perfect trainer and coach, and his expertise with the software and his lifetime of experience with cabinet making were evident within minutes. I called him my "cabinet angel"; he was always ready to patiently answer any question or help fix the mistakes I made in CabinetSense. He gave suggestions to improve my design and provided many valuable tips to make the cabinet making process easier and more efficient. He helped me in choosing materials including hinges and drawer slides, and even recommended jigs to make installation easier. And he did all this over the phone, email, and text from 1200 miles away - we've never met! He turned a floundering newbie into a fledgling cabinet maker, and I'm grateful to know him.

Michael Samarza, owner of WestOak Studios, is an exceptional individual who has been an incredible teacher and mentor during the past few months. He has assisted me in learning and navigating my way through the use of Cabinet Sense software on my Legacy Woodworking CNC. He has always been very giving of his time and expertise. With his 40 plus years of experience in cabinet design and construction he not only assisted me with understanding Cabinet Sense but was willing to share best design practices he has acquired over the years. It is rare to have an opportunity to meet (completely over the phone) a quality person like Michael and I will always be grateful for his assistance. Kudos Michael!
