The engraving of the Hebrew letters was done on a bronze laminate. The laminate was sealed to protect it from the genuine gold medium that was troweled into the letters. This allowed us to carefully sand the entire piece and remove the gold residue without damaging the bronze laminate. This was followed with clear finish coats.
